Stay at the Farm

Are you tired of vacations that feel just as busy as your day-to-day life? Come experience life on the farm and slow it all down a little…

You wake up to the smell of freshly-brewed coffee. Enjoy that first cup sittin’ on the front porch, taking in the beauty of a day on the farm just beginning. The chickens are chattering away just beside you, and the goats are nibbling on an early feast of hay. Makes you a little hungry yourself, so you venture on into the chicken coop, and choose a freshly-laid egg, still warm, for your breakfast. A little more coffee, fresh eggs and toast. What a start!

That’s just a taste of how it is on the farm. From there, you can read that book that’s been waitin’ on you, or go take a hike nearby, or, take in Prescott’s charming downtown just a short drive away, or pitch in with some farm chores. Maybe tomorrow you’ll get to milk Daisy or actually even take a nap! It’s all up to you…

We think of our farm as a little bit of ‘heaven on earth’ and we love to share it with others. The farm is set on 2 beautiful acres. It’s what you might call a ‘rural residential area’, lots of horse properties around. Yet we are just an easy 15-minute drive from Prescott’s famous, historic downtown.

We have about 16 hens, our small family of Mini-Mancha goats–usually at least one is providing delicious milk (most of the year), another is usually getting ready to “kid” in the spring…and one who we keep around purely for entertainment! Speaking of that, there’s also Button, the mini Sicilian donkey.

A charming cabin sits on our property, (with it’s own front porch made just for sittin’). It sleeps up to six people, and features a Queen bed, full-sized sofa bed, a twin loft bed (we like to call it the “coop” ; ) a twin pullout bed, a full bath with shower, and a small kitchen area that’s just perfect for simple meals at home. All dishware, cookware/utensils, towels and linens are provided.

The property is completely smoke-free. And, unfortunately, due to our beloved critters on the farm, there are no pets allowed (Donkey’s don’t much like dogs…and dogs tend to very much like chasing chickens!)

The rate is $129 per night (two night minimum*, or; ask us about weekly rates).

Please be sure to let us know if you have any special requests. We’d love to help you celebrate a special occasion! Just ask…we’ve got lots of ideas  :  )

Check it all out and then Contact Us to book a getaway you’ll never forget…we promise!
